So I tried the whole thing with frames. I learned a lot about web design but
never got the code tight
enough that it all worked.
My life has temporarily moved beyond all this nonsense, but I’ll be checking in
from time to time.
In the meantime here’s what used to be done with frames on the side:

lets admit it. The old website was basically a blog before they were
cool. Now I can see (in real time!) all the comments people want to leave.
maybe this format was better.
